Summers have approached and in such a time, a refreshing and super healthy juice would be a perfect choice to make. Even the health experts say ‘Juices are best absorbed by the human body’. Thus, drinking vitamin-rich juices is the perfect thing you can do in order to stay hydrated and to feel refreshed. In such a time, if you have a recipe handy with yourself, you can make a glass of juice for yourself at home to have a sign of solace against this scorching summer. Here are some Vitamin-Rich juice recipes for you that you can follow at home:-
1. Banana Smoothie for Vitamin-A, B and D:-
Take a few ice cubes, ½ cup low-fat plain yoghurt, 1 medium sized peeled banana (sliced) and a handful of nuts in a blender. Now blend for two minutes to turn the ingredients into a good milk-shake. You can add some custard power (Boiled in milk till the milk gets deduced0 to add flavour as well. Bananas and dry fruits are rich in Magnesium. Magnesium is needed by the human body to maintain normal muscle and nerve function. This banana smoothie is also rich in proteins to make you stronger and muscular.
2. Your favourite vitamin-C juice:-
Take some fresh oranges or grapefruit and strawberries. Peel the fruit and keep the juicy slices in a plate. Now take a few coriander leaves and keep them aside. Juice the strawberries and oranges or grapefruit separately first. Now add the juice in a blender with a few ice cubes and coriander leaves. Add some grated ginger and lemon juice to it. Now blend the juice and serve it afterwards with a half cut slice of lemon used as garnishing. Vitamin-C or ascorbic acid is very good for human skin. It also boosts the immune function and minimises a person’s risk of catching cold or flu. It has an abundance of antioxidants beneficial against cell damage.
3. Apple and berry juice for B-vitamins:-
Vitamin-B1, B2 and B6 (Pyridoxine) are very abundantly present in apples and berries. The drink rich in these vitamins helps to balance the body’s hormonal balance and supports the functioning of the brain. Apple and berry juice is thus the best choice to make this season. It also protects the eye health as Apples and berries are also rich in Vitamin-A. To make this juice, take some freshly chopped/sliced berries and add them to a blender along with the slices of an apple. Add some ice cubes, honey or sugar and some lemon juice along with some grated ginger. 4. Carrot juice for beta-carotene:-
Beta-carotene is the red pigment found in vegetables like carrots. To make carrot juice, you won’t need anything except some ginger, a lemon, a few ice cubes and a few peeled carrots. You can also add some beet root if available. Take a juicer machine and juice up the carrots and ginger (Beetroot also if available) Now squeeze the juice out of taken lemon in it and then add some salt/sugar/honey according to taste. Add ice cubes to make the juice cold within seconds. Human body further converts Beta-carotene in Vitamin-A which proves beneficial for eye-sight and other such body mechanisms.
5. Mango and Nut juice:-
Mango is a drupe rich in nutrients like Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Potassium etc. along with a variety of Vitamins like Vitamin-K, E, C, Vitamin-A, B1, B2, B6, B5, B3, B9 etc. When added with a goodness of nuts, almonds and raisins, it gives a great flavour. Thus we can take mango as a multi-nutrient and multi vitamin juice. For making this juice, you just need a handful of dry fruits/nuts and a few slices of a freshly peeled mango. Just add these slices to the juicer jar along with some milk and a few cubes of ice along with sugar or honey and then switch on the juicer to make a blend of all the ingredients.
