11 Best Natural Remedies for Eczema

Dermatitis or Eczema is a skin or derma disorder that results in the inflammation of human skin. It can be accompanied with itchiness of skin, redness and rashes. Eczema can also be accompanied with blisters and increased thickness of skin. In short, one can say that Eczema is a skin that often becomes painful, dry, tight and itchy. Eczema often leaves a person shattered into pieces with the persisting deterioration of skin and itching that remains persistent. Eczema can be generally seen occurring on an individual’s face, legs, hands etc. and if you are also observing the same skin condition with someone else or yourself, you can bring the following remedies in use to cure Eczema at home:-

1. Apply Turmeric on skin:-
Turmeric is both, an external as well as internal healer. In olden days of kings and queens but no specialists of skin or special hospitals to take care of people, there were no special chemical medicines to treat such disorders or wounds. Turmeric in that time was used as an external and internal remedy against all major ailments. Turmeric contains curcumin which helps to reduce inflammation of skin and application of turmeric on external surface of skin reduces rashes.

2. Have warm water bath:-
Boil some water adding some neem leaves in it and keep it aside till it does n’t gets Luke warm or bearable in temperature. Also add some Epsom salt if possible. Soak your legs in this water for a while and then wipe them off with a towel. Wash out the rest of your body with the same water in the same way and wipe off your body with towel afterwards. Repeat the same procedure every week or everyday if possible. Your skin will get revived soon.

3. Give your skin an oil massage:-
Olive oil is one of the best natural oils for human skin. It is packed with natural Omega-3 fatty acids which bring about a fall in the inflammation of skin. Olive oil rather soothes your skin and makes it less itchy. If Olive oil is not available, you can also use coconut oil or tea tree oil for this purpose. If tea tree oil and olive oil both are available, you can make a mix of both these oils to use it as a remedy against itching, rashes and patches.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar for Inflammation:-
Apple cider vinegar since a long time has been bought in use to treat inflammation of skin and in the treatment of skin burns. It is a good skin disinfectant as well. You can use Apple Cider Vinegar to cure all the infections of skin along with the scars, burns and cuts. Flax seeds can also prove helpful against the inflammation of skin as they block the production of Arachidonic acid in skin which is one of the main culprits behind inflammation.

5. Aloe Vera Juice or Aloe Vera Extract:-
Aloe Vera juice, gel or extract, all the three can be used as an effective remedy against the inflammation of skin. Aloe Vera juice provides an anti-inflammatory effect against the inflammation caused by Eczema gives a cooling kind of effect. Aloe Vera is a plant of cactus species of plants. This plant requires less care, less space and less water for growing. You can grow this plant in your house to use its juice or extract for the treatment of Eczema.

6. Baking Soda as an Itching relief:-
Mix one hundred grams of Baking soda in a twenty liters bucket of water. Now dip a cotton pad in this liquid and use this pad to wipe off your Eczema suffered skin. Massage the skin with Olive oil or fish oil afterwards. This will treat your skin against inflammation, itching and rashes of Eczema.

7.Avoid Using Chemical Products:-
Eczema worsens if you are using some chemical rich soap, detergent or shampoo. Such a kind of Eczema won’t go even after your countless persisting efforts to get rid of this skin disease. Look up the ingredient list of your soap or detergent and then switch your soap with a chemical free soap if yours is a chemical rich one. You can also depend on steroid creams, antihistamines and antibiotics etc.

8. Use Salt Spray for Itching:-
Products like salt spray really prove helpful against Eczema as they help it get dried and fall away. There is another salt called Himalayan salt or rock salt which can be bought in use for this purpose. You can add this salt regularly to your bathing water for better results. Salt reduces the irritation caused by Eczema and reduces the chances of rashes as well.

9. Chamomile and Horsetail for Irritation of Eczema:-

Herbs like chamomile and horsetail can be used regularly to ease the pain and irritation caused by Eczema. Horsetail is specialized also in the treatment of inflammation caused by Eczema. Both these herbs reduce the itching, rashes and pain of Eczema as well. You can also use Chamomile tea for soothing the skin if you are habitual of drinking it.

10. Change Your Soap with Fuller’s Earth:-
Chemical rich products make us feel scared with their usage every time. In such a time, natural substitutes like fuller’s earth or Multani soil can really prove to be a boon for us. Powdered fuller’s earth or multani soil can also be used as a natural skin pack. It does n’t show any side effects at all. You can meet a dermatologist if problems still persist. After having a bath with multani soil, it is better you give your body an oil massage to soothe it against irritation.
