How to Get Glowing Skin At Home
21st century women always desire for glowing skin and so is the case with men. People from all the age groups literally crave for glowing skin. People keep on trying product after product to enhance the glow of their skin but still every time they turn unsatisfied with the oil/chemical rich creams clogging their skin pores and side effects demotivating them. Using chemical based formulations rather can’t be so good for anyone if we talk about them in a long run. If you are also one of the people who are unsatisfied with the results of market based chemical products, some ingredients from your kitchen can really help you regarding the same.
1. Neem Tree Extract:-
Neem tree juice is a perfect boon for you if you are suffering from any kind of skin problem like pimples, acne etc. Neem tree is proven to be rich in Derma-benefits and hence most of the skin medicines contain neem tree extract in one form or the other. You can easily find a neem tree in a neighboring park or a botanical garden. If you have some space available in your kitchen garden, you can grow a neem tree there as well. Once you have a neem tree, you can boil its leaves in your bathing water to make it perfect for bathing. You can use bark of the same tree in powdered form for external face application as well. Neem has remained a tropical medicine for more than 4,000 years due to its medicinal properties and thus it is a must have for your skin.
2. Lemon Juice for Skin:-
Lemon juice is the best cleanser for human skin. Just apply freshly squeezed lemon juice on your skin and then leave it for five-ten minutes. Now wash it with water that is warm and not boiling, i.e. Luke warm. This will open up the clogged pores of your skin and remove the dirt and pollution mixed with oil in those pores. For better results, you can add some honey in the lemon juice as honey is also rich in skin exfoliating and skin cleansing properties. Lemon rather makes your skin clear and helps you to get rid of the dead cells which clog the skin pores. The Vitamin-C and Citric acid content of lemon juice also helps to reduce dark spots and enhances the cell repair process.
3. Turmeric mixed with gram flour –
Turmeric is a food coloring agent available in most of the kitchens these days. ‘Ubtan’, which is the Hindi name for a skin pack used since ages in India, is made with the same turmeric powder. Just take one teaspoon of turmeric and mix it up with four teaspoons of gram flour. Now take one teaspoon out from this mixture and mix it with a teaspoon of water to form thin paste. Apply this paste on your skin in circular motion with your fingers and then keep it applied till it does n’t gets dried completely and then rinse it off with water. You will see results within first initial week and your skin will start glowing more and more day by day. Turmeric is rather an antiseptic and skin-lightening agent that helps you reduce skin scars and heals the previous skin wounds. Turmeric is rather an anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory agent which aids your skin against various allergies and reduces the inflammation of skin.
4. Moisturize your skin with honey:-
Say good bye to your old expensive moisturizers and replace them with a new and natural agent called honey. Honey is the best natural moisturizer in a sense that it keeps your skin moist and moisturized for a long time. Honey is also rich in anti-bacterial properties and hence it aids your skin against skin infections also. To use honey as a moisturizer, you can apply some raw honey daily on your skin while keeping it applied for at least two to three minutes and then you can rinse it off with water. Your skin will stay moisturized for the rest of day once you follow this remedy.
5. Aloe Vera as your skin doctor:-
No! I am not a baba Ramdev fan at all but one thing we both will agree upon is that Aloe Vera is the best natural doctor for your skin. Aloe Vera is a bulbous plant of cactus species of plants which grows even in a region with less availability of water and less arrival of seasonal rains. The juice of this plant is rich in antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which make it the best natural skin doctor for your skin. Bacteria are the most appropriate and acute reason and cause for Acne. The antibacterial juice of Aloe Vera helps you kill these bacteria and safeguards your skin against the skin problem called Acne. Aloe Vera rather keeps your skin moisturized for a longer time and thus it is a must have for those who which to keep their skin glowing for a longer period of time.
6. Balance your skin pH level with Baking Soda:
According to Science, anything with a pH level of less than 7 is called acidic and anything with a pH value of more than 7 is called alkaline. Something with a pH value of 7 is called Neutral. This pH level needs to be maintained in case of skin as well. If a Dermatologist has reported your skin to be imbalanced in case of its Ph value, you can easily balance its pH with the help of baking soda which is mildly antiseptic and anti-inflammatory in nature. Cucumber is available in most of the houses which prefer eating salad during their regular meals. Cucumber and bottle gourd both contain water and thus both of these are really hydrating in nature. Cucumber rather acts as the best natural Astringent. Cucumber and Bottle gourd juice if applied daily on your skin can help you enhance cell-repair and makes your skin even more glowing than ever. Multani soil is available for a price as cheap as six to seven rupees per kilogram and you can easily convert it to powdered form in order to use it as a face pack. Fuller’s earth is also proven to be effective against the skin problems like Acne and Pimples etc. You can mix it up with sandalwood powder and rose water to make a working face pack with it.
10. Coconut oil for glowing skin:-
Apply some warm virgin coconut oil daily on your skin before sleeping. Coconut oil has the property to lock moisture in the skin. Coconut oil is also rich in the content of fatty acid which provides added nourishment. In some cases, Coconut oil and glycerin show best results as a moisturizer for skin.
